PTFE (Teflon) Felt Sheets and Strips
PTFE (Teflon) felt sheets and strips are non-absorbable surgical materials used to reinforce tissue and distribute suture tension during cardiovascular procedures. Manufactured from non-woven polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), surgical felt is commonly applied as a suture buttress where there is a risk of tissue tearing or suture pull-through. Felt sheets may be trimmed intraoperatively, while felt strips are often used in linear applications (e.g. vascular anastomosis). Venaporta PTFE felt is available in sheet and strip formats in predefined dimensions to meet varying surgical requirements.
